Ambulant assistance entering and exiting a vehicle can be modified to suit a number of vehicle styles. Automatic Kwikee Step, Intermediate Step, Manual Step and Edge Identification are all part of a vast range of possible solutions.
Secure storage of loose objects is paramount whilst in transit. The potential for this equipment to become a projectile is greatly decreased when safely stowed. Folded Wheelchair Storage frames, Rear Storage Pods and Cargo Screens are just some of the possible securement methods available.
Passenger Securement
Additional safety systems are possible for passengers with involuntary movements, behavioural issues or need for postural support. Special Needs, or multiple point harnesses are adaptable to many vehicles.
Seating Options
Folding and removable seats allow flexible seating arrangements and capacities, while still maintaining wheelchair access. Vehicle layout can be changed within seconds, with user friendly designs.
Safety Systems
Park with confidence. Parking systems allow you to reverse or park your vehicle easily and safely while alerting you of objects behind your vehicle. Voice Distance Indicating sensors advise you of accurate distance between your vehicle and the nearest object. No need to guess, the VDI system acts as another pair of eyes. Alternatively, a Video Camera installed at the rear of the vehicle, connected to a colour LCD monitor.
OHS and Training
OHS issues may arise during a vehicles operational use. Norden Conversion can assist with an on-site assessment, taking all personal and behavioural characteristics into account. As part of our continuous advancement in customer service, Norden Conversion will conduct a comprehensive training program, by qualified staff, to enhance familiarisation when operating new equipment.
