On Tuesday the 27th October 2009, Norden welcomed the newest member of its ever expanding family.
Sales Manager Jared Foster and his wife Carlene became parents for the first time with the safe arrival of
Milania Ada Foster weighing in at 7’13”. Mum and Milly are both doing fantastically and Daddy is in need
of a double shot espresso, but they are absolutely besotted by their little princess and Grandparents
Silvio and Ada Volombello and Eric and Joan Foster could not be happier with the first granddaughter
on both sides.
Jared and Carlene would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their thoughts, gifts and
well wishes and also to all the midwives at Mitcham Private Hospital for their care and assistance.
Happy Birthday to you.....
It is with great pleasure that we have celebrated the 80th birthday of Mr. Ron Anson on the 24/09/2009.
Ron who founded Norden back in 1959 celebrated with his family and friends at Clover Cottage in Berwick on Friday 25/09/2009. To most at Norden Ron is a father figure, to some he is a Grandfather figure and now he has moved into
the realms of Great Grandfather figure as the Norden family tree grows.
But to all who know Ron and have had the pleasure to be associated with him, know Ron to be a true gentleman in every sense of the word. His passion and commitment to the community is always evident not just through Norden
but also with Ron’s tireless involvement within the Dandenong Rotary Club and many more businesses and charitable organizations throughout Greater Dandenong.
Everyone at Norden wishes Ron all the best for the year ahead and looks forward to what he has install for his 81st..
Cheers.
Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal Golf Day.
Saturday the 4th April marked the 7th Annual “Royal Children’s Hospital” Good Friday Appeal Golf Day, painstakingly organized by Cutting Edges and fantastically hosted by Heathcote Golf Club.
It was an amazing day for golf, although any day is a good day for golf, and Norden had entered 2 teams to battle the elements and tame the beast that is Heathcote Golf Course.
The two teams were Norden Conversion and Norden Pen Pushers and making up the teams were.
Norden Conversion: David Meakin (Purchasing), Greg Oudman (Leading hand), Rose Bertram (Mobility Consultant)
and Trevor Kealy (Invited Guest from Rail Technology).
Norden Pen Pushers: Robert Anson (General Manager), Bob McKenzie (Service Manager),
Jared Foster (Sales Manager) and Bill Taylor (Invited Guest from Taylor VASS services).
The game was played with true professionalism and the spirit of the day shun through. All that participated thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and the winner of the day was the Royal Children’s Hospital, although Norden Pen Pushers had a narrow 3 stroke victory over Norden Conversion to claim office bragging rights.
Norden would like to take this opportunity to thank Fergus and Jarrod from Cutting Edges Equipment Parts for once again providing an outstanding day for all who took part and we look forward to dusting off the clubs for next year.

The latest member of the Norden Family
The Norden family has grown over the past month with it's latest member being Dekota Ebony Ellis.
Dekota was born at Frankston Hospital on the 19th February 2009 weighing in at a healthy 6.5lbs, both Dekota and Kylie (Mum) are doing well and all at Norden are delighted with her arrival.
Mark Ellis (Dad) started as an apprentice in 2002 and since has become an integral part of the Norden workshop. We all look forward to watching Dekota grow and hopefully not cause too many headaches for Mum and Dad…….
With the Vehicle Modification Subsidy Scheme well and truly underway, Norden has successfully assisted families and Occupational Therapist with enquiries regarding the program and modifications. The funding program has been well received and Norden have a dedicated VMSS consultant that can assist with any queries you may have.
The release of more Wheelchair Accessible Taxi “WAT” licenses by the state government will lead to more Wheelchair Occupant Taxis on Victorian roads. This will be a positive for both the Taxi industry and more importantly the community. Reducing waiting times for Taxis is the goal for the industry and helping operators getting on the road as quickly as possible is Norden’s priority. Taxi operators can contact one of our staff for a quote on converting your vehicle into a WAT today.
