Norden products for mining and oil

Norden Hydraulic Connections has a range of hydraulic couplings specifically designed and manufactured for the mining, oil and gas industries. The more common styles of couplings for these industries are Snap-tite H series, 71 Series and 75 Series.

These couplings are specified as original equipment in the manufacture of offshore rigs and mining equipment. Many drilling rigs are made in the US and are constructed using Snap-tite product.

These rigs are shipped around the world, at times these hydraulic couplings may need to be replaced. By purchasing Snap-tite fittings it should ensure that engineers would not need to sign off on product replacement. This wouldn’t be the case if an alternative coupling was chosen.

Snap-tite H Series: is a high-flow quick disconnect coupling for use on hydraulic-pneumatic applications and in the handling of many gases and fluids. It is designed to meet and exceed MIL-C-51234. The working pressure is up to 11,000 psi or 759 bar and comes in steel, 316 stainless steel, aluminium and brass, and with a wide selection of seals.

• The IH version is for reciprocating, pulsating and rotary motile air tools.

• The PH version is for connection against static hydraulic pressure.

Snap-tite 71 Series: is a dry break, push-to-connect, high-pressure connector with extra large flow chambers. It is designed for up to 10,000 psi or 690 bar operating pressures, available in steel, 316 stainless steel and high pressure stainless steel. The coupling’s flush face allows for easy contaminant inspection, cleaning and also is available with a wide selection of seals.

Snap-tite 75 Series: specially designed for high-pressure hydraulic service especially well suited to on and offshore drilling. This series comes in a number of materials including stainless steel and plated steel and has an acme thread so it is easy to assemble under pressure. The 75 series is fire safe rated so it can be used in well-heads and for drilling blow out prevention circuits.

Norden Hydraulic Connections holds good stock of all these products in Australia.

The company has 25 years of experience in providing customer service to the oil and mining industries with Snaptite products and can assist with any support issues.
