One of my wheelchair restraints is damaged, can I still continue to use it?

If your wheelchair restraints are compromised in any way, please contact Norden for a replacement immediately.
Our in-house sales team can assist and arrange for a replacement to be sent out. 

Does the Electric Kwikee step require any maintenance?

The Electric Kwikee step will require regular lubrication of all moving parts. This will be carried out in conjunction
with your scheduled wheelchair lift service.

Are the spare parts supplied by Norden covered by warranty?

All new genuine spare parts for your wheelchair lift supplied and installed by Norden carry a 12-month replacement warranty.

Does Norden and their Wheelchair lift service technicians carry spare parts for my wheelchair lift?

Norden Wheelchair lift service technicians carry a range of spare parts for all the most popular brands of wheelchair lifts. Should we not have the part you desire in stock we may be able source the part on your behalf.

How much does a wheelchair lift service cost, and how long will it take?

The majority of wheelchair lift services take approximately 60 minutes as our technicians wish to give your wheelchair lift and equipment the attention it deserves.

My wheelchair lift is not working, I am stranded, can Norden help?

Norden can provide technical support over the phone which in most cases can get you back on your way.

Our mobile service vehicles are also there to assist, but please note they are subject to availability and a breakdown callout fee applies.

Can I bring my wheelchair accessible vehicle to Norden to have my wheelchair lift serviced?

Yes servicing can take place at our premises in Dandenong however booking are essential to ensure a qualified technician is on hand to attend to you wheelchair lift needs.

Is Norden able to service my wheelchair lift on site?

Norden has mobile units servicing the Melbourne metropolitan area as well as Victoria, parts of southern New South Wales and the greater Mt Gambier region in South Australia. Please contact the Norden Service Division to arrange an onsite service! 

How often should I have my wheelchair lift serviced?

Every situation is different depending on local conditions (e.g. dry, dusty or the amount of usage your wheelchair lift gets). We are happy to advise the frequency of servicing required on an individual basis.

My new Braun wheelchair lift does not work, what can I do?

Please take the time to do these simple checks

  • Please ensure the power switch is in the ON position 
  • If your wheelchair lift is still not working, please check the emergency stop button:
    • Ensure that the yellow strip is still visible below the red button. 
    • If the emergency stop button is engaged and the yellow strip is not visible the lift will not work. If this occurs, pull the red button up until the yellow strip is visible.
